SNAP & Kentucky Double Dollars

The Lexington Farmers Market has funds available to disburse in Kentucky Double Dollars Fruit and Vegetable match and Kentucky Double Dollars Meat, Eggs, and Dairy.

The Lexington Farmers market has disbursed all funds for 2018 (no additional monies remain) for the Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program match and the WIC Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program match.

The Kentucky Double Dollars Matching Program is available at all Lexington Farmers’ Market locations.  EBT and Double Dollars tokens are accepted by every market vendor who sells eligible products.  Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program and WIC vouchers, as well as their associated Kentucky Double Dollars coupons, are only accepted by farmers who are registered for those redemption programs- these vendors will have signs visible at their individual booths identifying them as participants.

How The Program Works

Kentucky Double Dollars SNAP Fruit and Vegetable Program (KDD FV)- Green Tokens

1. Swipe your SNAP EBT card at the market manager booth for at least $2.
2. The market manager will issue you the amount you swiped in SNAP tokens.
3. The market manager will issue you at least $2 ($12 maximum per person per day) in KDD FV tokens.
4. Spend your SNAP tokens with any vendor selling SNAP eligible items and then spend your KDD FV tokens valid only on Kentucky-grown fruits, vegetables, herbs, and plant starts.

Kentucky Double Dollars SNAP Meat, Eggs, and Dairy Program (KDD MED)- Purple Tokens

1. Swipe your SNAP EBT card at the market manager booth.
2. The first $12 SNAP transaction will generate $12 in KDD FV tokens.
3. An additional $2 minimum swipe over $12 will result in MED tokens in $2 increments up to $8.
4. This will provide a SNAP customer a maximum of $20 in KDD FV ($12) and MED ($8) per customer per day.
5. Spend your SNAP tokens with any vendor selling SNAP eligible items and then spend your KDD FV  tokens valid only on Kentucky-grown fruits, vegetables, herbs, and plant starts, and spend your KDD MED tokens valid only on Kentucky-farmed meat, eggs, or dairy.

Kentucky Double Dollars WIC Fruit and Vegetable Program- Yellow Coupons

1. Present a valid $4 WIC voucher at the market manager booth
2. The market manager will issue a $4 Kentucky Double Dollars fruit and vegetable voucher (up to 2 $4 vouchers- $8 total- max per customer per day).
3. Spend your WIC vouchers with any “certified” WIC vendor.
4. Spend your Kentucky Double Dollars fruit and vegetable voucher with any “certified” WIC vendor valid only on Kentucky-grown fruits, vegetables, and edible herbs.

Kentucky Double Dollars SFMNP Fruit and Vegetable Program- Yellow Coupons

1. Present a valid $4 SFMNP voucher at the market manager booth
2. The market manager will issue a $4 Kentucky Double Dollars fruit and vegetable voucher (up to 2 $4 vouchers – $8 total- max per customer per day).
3. Spend your SFMNP vouchers with any Certified SFMNP vendor.
4. Spend your Kentucky Double Dollars fruit and vegetable voucher with any “certified” SFMNP vendor valid only on Kentucky-grown fruits, vegetables, and edible herbs.
