4th Level Roasters (Coffee)
Biography
4th Level Roasters was born from adversity. When times got tough, we got tougher. When cancer hit our family the first time, we came together. When cancer hit the 2nd time and in a different family member only one year later, 4th Level Roasters came together.
I had a dream of roasting coffee for years, but I put off that dream while working jobs where I never really felt a strong sense of purpose. When I was diagnosed with cancer just one year after Stacie, we decided there is no better time than the present to start doing the things we have dreamed of. I bought my first roaster in the middle of chemo and started roasting outside in the winter snow.
We discovered the coffee I was roasting was superior to what we were buying in the store and just like that: hobby turned into passion. I spent hours researching and learning about coffee purchasing, processing, and roasting. As knowledge increased, better coffee was created. We decided to make a leap of faith and purchased a bigger roaster.
Our first interaction with the community was the Farmer’s Market in Berea, KY in July of 2021. We were nervous, but we believed in our product and within three weeks, we were selling out of our entire stock of coffee. At this time I had a full time job, but in April of 2022 things changed once again. I abruptly lost my full time employment so we got even more determined to be successful with coffee. At a time when many would have gotten distressed, we found tremendous peace and went to work!
Everyday working towards your passion is a gift beyond measure. We feel tremendously blessed to provide a cup of blessings and passion with you while you contemplate your own dreams, big or small. Always remember, 4th Level Roasters is with you every step of the way.

CaffeMarco
Biography
In Central Kentucky, CaffeMarco is known like the city of Paris where it resides; small place, big name. Founded in 2006 after a career in the California wine industry, Mark Newberry was one of the earliest local entrepreneurs in a new age of coffee. As he remembered it, “I moved here and I just wanted to be able to get a good cup of coffee.”
Newberry’s concept was simple, source only from a few world regions and offer only a handful of profiles. The coffee, too, was no-frills. Always certified Fair-trade and USDA Organic, CaffeMarco grew by staying consistent in a wave of new coffee enterprises.
Rich, smokey, and bittersweet like dark chocolate, the company’s beans possess the classic “coffee” taste that needs not be improved, yet is often overlooked. The distinctive dark roasts developed over a decade ago remain the company’s bread and butter.
In 2021, Marco’s nephew, Arthur Newberry, moved to Paris to run the operation after previously working with Slow Food Cincinnati’s Snail of Approval winners Blue Oven Bakery and Farm Beach Bethel. “A good city has to have good coffee, and I was thrilled to step into my uncle’s shoes. His coffee has brought so many people joy.”
Inspired by the countries that grow and consume the beverage, the young owner’s hope is that customers may be introduced to more international coffee rituals as CaffeMarco grows and embraces the many cultures of the world.
